Avionics squawks are never scheduled and often occur at the most inconvenient times. When a squawk arises, your priority is to identify the cause and return the aircraft to service as quickly as possible. We can help you do just that.
Duncan Aviation’s Loaner Program is a critical diagnostic tool designed to close the gap between the initial reported squawk and a return to service.
We’ve strategically aligned our loaner inventory of legacy units with our in-house repair capabilities. Our philosophy is straightforward: if we have the specialized bench tools and technical data to repair a legacy aircraft unit, we likely have a certified loaner ready to keep your aircraft in the air while we do it.
When troubleshooting, the most immediate hurdle is verifying whether the squawk originates within the LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) or in the airframe wiring and peripheral sensors.
By securing a loaner unit from us, you can perform immediate cross-diagnostics. Once you install a known-functioning unit, you can instantly confirm if the squawk persists. This eliminates the guesswork and prevents the unnecessary NFF (no-fault-found) cycles that occur when a healthy unit is pulled for repair due to an undiagnosed airframe issue.
Our loaner program is designed to get your aircraft back in the air, potentially the very next day after you call us. Duncan Aviation CARs (Customer Account Reps) have real-time access to the loaner pool, allowing for same-day dispatch in most scenarios. While your original unit undergoes component-level maintenance at our facility, our loaner unit keeps you flying.
Our current loaner strategy focuses on legacy systems where parts availability and aging electronics often extend traditional repair windows. We maintain a robust pool for Honeywell, Collins, BendixKing, and JET systems. While we support a wide array of legacy hardware, please reach out to one of our CARs to determine whether we have your specific unit available.
The recertification fees for these loaners are generally lower than expedited OEM rental costs and AOG fees, providing a more streamlined technical and financial path back to a fully restored original configuration.
When you take advantage of the Duncan Aviation Loaner Program, you significantly reduce the risk of extended downtime. This program is less about renting a part and more about maintaining the continuity of your flight operations.
To check real-time availability for specific part numbers or to discuss the technical requirements for a swap, contact a Duncan Aviation CAR at 800.562.6377 or via email at CustomerSalesService@DuncanAviation.com.
